Bartlett-AnthracnoseOnAsh-5-26-2015So your tree, shrub or woody ornamental is ailing, but you can't figure out what is causing the problem or just what to do. The first step is to determine the type of attack, before the next steps can be taken to help it.

#Treechat partner Bartlett Tree Experts will be joining Corona Tools to explore the possibilities. Each year, Bartlett's Diagnostic Clinic receives more than 2,000 plant samples for analysis for insect pests, tree diseases, and cultural and environmental problems. The Bartlett Experts diagnose the problem, and can send their team to treat the problem! ( At right, see characteristic symptoms of Anthracnose fungus on Ash leaves. )

Bartlett-AppleScab-5-27-2015Participants can also submit photos of tree disease/insect issues during the chat. Lab Diagnostician Lorraine Graney will be online and can ID if enough information available, or instruct how to obtain a better sample for ID.(At Left, symptoms of Apple Scab on Apple leaves)
