Corona Tools Expands Its Distribution Center in Louisville, Kentucky

(Corona, CA) Corona Tools, a leader in the manufacturing of professional and consumer tools for the lawn and garden, construction, and agriculture markets under the Corona® brand, announces the expansion of its distribution center in Louisville. The new facility, located at 6574 Lewis Lane, boasts 244,000-square-feet of warehouse space, a significant increase from its existing 55,000-square-foot distribution center in Louisville. The warehouse expansion project comes after the company’s decision in August to optimize its North America distribution network with the customers in mind, as well as to support the growth projections anticipated in the next few years. “The legacy of our business started 95 years ago in the orange groves of Southern California, and we have grown way beyond a pair of clippers in the West since then,” said Tom Welke, CEO of Venanpri Group. “Our users depend on our products to sustain their jobs, so we are committed to getting our products on our customers’ shelves faster than what we’ve been able to provide. With this expansion, we believe we can operate at the speed of e-commerce all while providing the customer service of a small-town hardware store.”

With more space and increased capacities, the new distribution center aims to achieve greater operational efficiency, where customers can anticipate a reduction of up to two and a half days from their current turnaround time. Additionally, customers can experience the benefits of a true service center through customized merchandising solutions to support the unique needs of the retail environment.

Corona's Louisville distribution center will serve approximately 60% of its total customers, while its distribution center in Corona, CA will continue to service customers in the West and remain the corporate headquarters for North America. The new facility is scheduled to begin shipping products effective December 18, 2023, and fully operational in Q2 of 2024.
